I look back when I was 100lbs lighter and now 50lbs overweight make me sick to my stomach. How in this world I let myself get to this point in my life where depression took over me because I have no desire of going out to enjoy my life as I feel embarrassed the way I look now. Let's not even talk about the other diseases I have now because is more depressing. I have no energy to do anything. I want to be able to enjoy life like I used to and to wear a small size clothes. Every time I lose a few pounds, I get them back again in a short period of time. I'm sick and tired of trying to lose weight and not being able to maintain it. This book came in handy because what I need is a method to maintain the weight off. The author teaches methods you can do in order to maintain your weight off after you have already lost it. He also mentions a few apps you can use to help you through your weight loss maintenance plan. I had no idea there were such apps! The method he mentions in his book makes perfect sense. The thing is to continue practicing the new habits throughout the rest our lives. Great book if you have difficulties in maintaining your weight off after losing a few pounds!
This is the second weight loss book I have read by this author. Again his tips and strategies make sense and are well thought out. This seems like a diet plan that would work really well without any fad diets or other methods. Just healthy eating and good sense.
Overall, I found an advance copy of this book to be an easy read filed with good, fact-based advice about keeping weight off. The practical steps made sense and are easy to implement. (I found the part about sleeping quite interesting.) It’s a motivating book that does not shame the reader. Definitely worth the money.
